The Great Adventure To KKV!!!

To All My Brother’s and Sister’s

This is the first time Ive ever blogged OOOOYAY!!!!! I would like to start by saying a BIG thank-you to Our Awesome God for providing for me to come to KKV. When we were at the airport  Ian was absolutely buzzing to get here, I know now why!!! It has been a laugh, a second from the Sterns to the kids and I didn’t realize how funny Ian is.

We arrived about mid-day there time and checked into mama Lydia’s and had a little sleep. Then we headed off to KKV. When we arrived we meet Molly, Lydia, Christin and Anna. Nothing could prepare me for what happened next, a stampede of beautiful little children running at myself an I an it was Incredible feeling. From then on it was an hour of madness running to the jungle-gym to the faith house and back again. It was great to help out at football practice too. We then had a lovely evening chilling with the Sterns.

Then next day I let Ian catch up on his beauty sleep while I washed my clothes and had some breakfast at mama Lydia’s. Then we walked to KKV, Nairobi has some stunning scenery. The afternoon was filled with helping with a bit of school work, I totally forgot how much I loved algebra!!! It was Essy’s birthday so we made her a birthday rap, guvna b watch yourself brother!!!  After some more football we had pizza for a birthday treat for essy, it was lush!!!

Today ( 7/07/2011)

We got up early, a blue peter badge was awarded to Ian, I joke I joke! So Today me and Ian lead chapel and Christin and Peter done worship!!! It was great we spoke about how God makes a bad situation into a Great one ( referring to my testimony) we played a game with the kids having a ball of play-doo and them making something beautiful, one sculptured Ian and another made a mirror. We finished off with a memory verse ‘ I will never leave you nor forsake you” Hebrews 13:5.Afterwards we had lunch at mama Christabel- that was some good chicken and she is an Amazing Woman of God.   I then cut Ian’s hair, Jon says he looks like a sailor ( Adam wingrove it not as short as yours was though, sorry again for that) We then had a lovely walk finished off with more football and cracking meal with the Stern’s.

I would like to Thank the Lord for providing for all his children at KKV, making dreams becoming reality with the new classrooms being built and Healing Jon step by step to the full strength of his back. In Jesus name. Amen

Talk soon. With Love Dan and Ian

  1. But Dan how and why did you offend the guy at the market? Or do we not really want to know? Hope your both having a great time, sounds as if you are! (Dan how are they liking the ginger?) lol x

  2. Hi to both of you, and so glad you got there safely – not that I doubted you, or anything. Please give my love to everyone and extra special hugs to Mama Cristobel and Prof. Joshua, and tell them I can’t wait to see them again very soon.

The list of books for the learning resource centre keeps growing. I managed to use the front door one day last week, cos I gave the math and ICT books back to Dawn. But since then it has been clogged up again with donations of other reference books. Feedback would be marvellous so I can assess suitability … were the Eyewitness Guides any good, for example? I’ve got more of the same type and age range – subjects include Plants, Pirates, Cowboys, Communication Systems, Inventions, How the Wheel Changed the World, the History of Flight, and Hitler and National Socialism. For older teens I have Reader’s Digest 20th Century History “The Space Race”, and a geography/travel book called “Great Voyages of the World”. Please also let me know if French text books are any use. I haven’t got as far as adventure stories yet, but give me a Blue Peter badge and I’m sure anything is possible. Love ya loads. Gx

  3. Hi Dan and Ian,
Emma and I are so happy you reached there safely we herd on the news that there was riots in Nairobi(of cause I have not been there so I don’t know how fare away you). Haha Ian you got the Gingerninger treat-slap head hehe. and Dan after a couple of Days with Ian and his jokes i think you would change your mind, I joke. Btw got a new joke that i can actually remember.

On Friday out with JAC was great, although a lot of people asked where you was, they was unhappy (in a banta way) that you did not take them with you.

Just to let you know Ian, Pathfinder and Weds night are fine and going well, also I took Dan J and ok her name has slipped my mind to that Christian shop that has also slipped my mind- how bad is my memory.

Got KS this Saturday- sorry Dan I will try and save you a burger but it may be a bit smelly by then if you get my amazing banata.
Emma misses KKV loads, hopefully we will go there next year- well I am wanting too.
Well I will stop otherwise it will turn into a essay.

praying for you all, say hello even if they don’t know me- well i was in the video.

    Love and Blessings
    Adam & Emmma
